If you need to cancel your onX Backcountry Membership, you can do so from the App on your phone or from your computer. After canceling, you'll keep access to paid features until your current subscription term ends—at which point your account reverts to a Basic (free) Membership.
How to cancel from your phone
- Open the onX Backcountry App.
- Open the Main Menu.
- Tap My Account > Manage Subscriptions.
How to cancel from your computer
Click here to go directly to your account overview, or follow these steps:
- Go to onXmaps.com and click Log In in the upper-right corner.
- Select Backcountry Log In and enter your email and password if prompted.
- Click My Account & Settings from the left toolbar, then click My Account.
- Click Manage next to your onX Backcountry Membership.
What happens after you cancel
Canceling doesn't trigger a refund—you'll retain paid access until your subscription term ends. After that, your account reverts to Basic.
You keep:
- All saved Markups (Waypoints, Routes, Lines, Shapes, and Tracks) and the ability to create new ones.
- The ability to record your path with the Tracker.
- Satellite, Topo, and Hybrid Basemaps.
- Wind & Weather information.
You lose access to:
- Map Layers
- Featured Trails.
- Trail Slopes.
- All downloaded Offline Maps are deleted. With a Basic Membership, you can only save one Offline Map at a time.
Resubscribing
You can reactivate your subscription at any time—your saved Markups will be waiting for you. Make sure to use the same email address you used previously.
