If you notice something incorrect on your map—inaccurate land boundaries, incorrect trail or recreation point data, or other outdated information—you can report it directly from the App or Web Map for our team to review, verify, and correct.
How to report an error for map data
For map data such as recreation points, parcel boundaries, or other missing/incorrect information:
- Tap the map feature that needs correction to open its info card.
- Swipe left on the bottom row of buttons in the info card.
- Tap Feedback.
- Provide as much detail as possible to help our team identify the error and find the correct data.
Tip: On the onX Backcountry Web Map, click the map feature that needs to be corrected, click More at the bottom of the info card, then click Feedback.
How to report an error for a Featured Trail
For errors related to Featured Trails—such as incorrect trail descriptions, distances, or difficulty ratings:
- Tap or click the trail on the map to open its info card.
- Tap or click the ellipsis (•••) in the upper-right corner of the info card.
- Select Suggest Edits to propose a specific change to trail info, or Feedback to leave a general note for our team.
- Provide as much detail as possible to help our team identify and address the issue.
