If you see an error message in Web Map that your Web Browser does not support MapBox GL, you may need to upgrade your web browser to the latest version or use a different browser. If you prefer to use a specific browser, you may be able to adjust some of your browser's settings to fix the problem. Follow the instructions below for Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge, or Internet Explorer.

How to check if your Web Browser supports MapBoxGL
Click here for the WebGL testing site. If you see a spinning cube on the testing site, then your web browser supports MapBoxGL.
If you don't see the spinning cube on the testing site, please switch to a different browser, or follow the instructions below to change some settings in your browser.
Fixing the MapBoxGL error in Google Chrome
We recommend you use Google Chrome to access Web Map. Click here to download or update Google Chrome.
If you've updated to the latest of Google Chrome and still getting the same error message, please try the following steps:
- Go to chrome://settings in your address bar.
- On the left side of the screen, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Advanced."
- Click "System" and turn on "Use hardware acceleration when available."
- Click "Relaunch."
If the above steps don't work to fix the problem, we can try an experimental feature in Google Chrome. Keep in mind this solution will not always work.
- Go to chrome://flags in your address bar.
- At the top of the screen, search for "Choose ANGLE graphics backend."
- If you have a Mac, click the drop-down to the right of the description and set it to "Metal."
- If you have a Windows computer, click the drop-down to the right of the description and set it to "OpenGL."
If you're unable to use Google Chrome, follow the instructions below to turn on Web GL and fix the problem for Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
Fixing the MapBoxGL error in Mozilla Firefox
- Go to about:config in your address bar.
- Search for webgl.force-enabled and make sure this preference is set to true. If it is currently set to false, click the toggle icon on the far right to change the value to true.
- Search for webgl.disabled and make sure this preference is set to false. If it is currently set to true, click the toggle icon on the far right to change the value to false.

Search for webgl.enable-webgl2 and make sure this preference is set to true. If it is set to false, click the reverse icon to the right to set to true.
- Restart Firefox.
Fixing the MapBoxGL error in Safari
While WebGL should be enabled by default on Safari for all recent browser versions, there may be some circumstances where you will need to manually enable this setting:
Please note that the following steps will only apply if WebGL has been disabled from your browser.

From the Safari menu bar at the top of your screen, click Safari then click Settings

Select the Websites tab.

Select WebGL from the list on the left side of the window. This will only be present if WebGL has been disabled.

If you see webmap.onxmaps.com listed on the right, select Allow from the drop-down menu

If you do not see webmap.onxmaps.com listed on the right, look for When visiting other websites in the lower-right corner of the window, and select either Ask or Allow from the drop-down menu.

Restart Safari to apply the new settings.
If you are unable to load the page after taking the above steps, we recommend trying the following:

Open the webmap.onxmaps.com website.

From the Safari menu bar at the top of your screen, click Safari then click Settings

Select the Advanced tab.

Check the box to Show Develop menu in menu bar.

From the menu bar, click Develop then select Experimental features.

Click to enable WebGL 2.0.

Restart Safari to apply the new settings

Fixing the MapBoxGL error in Microsoft Edge
- Click the overflow menu (three dots) in the upper-right corner, then click Settings.
- Click System on the left.
- Turn on Use hardware acceleration when available.
- Click Restart to apply the new settings.
Fixing the MapBoxGL error in Internet Explorer
You will need Internet Explorer version 11 or later. If you are running Windows 8 or Windows 7, update your Internet Explorer to version 11. Click here to update your version of Internet Explorer.
