Ski Tour Mode is available in the Activity menu at the lower left of your screen. It features backcountry and cross-country ski trails, which you can filter by length, elevation loss, and high or low point.
Featured winter recreation trails are shown as purple with a white border on your map and include extra details such as descriptions, elevation profiles, avalanche forecasts, SNOTEL data, and photos.
Solid or Dashed Featured Trail: backcountry ski, ski touring.
Dashed Featured Trail with arrows: backcountry ski approach or exit.
Light Purple Dashed Trail: snowmobile trails.
Tip: turn on the Avalanche Terrain Exposure Scale (ATES) layers in the Basemaps and Map Layers Menu to help judge the possible avalanche danger.
Open the Discover menu and tap or click the filter button to filter Ski Tour trails shown on your map.
- Length: use the sliders to choose a minimum and maximum length.
- Elevation Loss: use the sliders to choose a minimum and maximum elevation loss.
- Low/High Point: use the sliders to choose a minimum low point and a maximum high point.
