onX Backcountry App Features
Main Toolbar
Discover: quickly find nearby trails.
Offline Maps: save maps to your device to use anywhere, with or without cell service.
My Content: storage location for your saved Waypoints, Lines, Shapes, and Tracks.
Map Tools: create Waypoints, Lines, and Shapes.
Tracker: record your path as you travel and view your distance, time, and speed.
Basmaps and Map Layers
Basemaps and Map Layers: change between a satellite view, a topography view, or a satellite view with topography lines, and overlay your map with important information, like trail slopes, active wildfires, government lands, and more.
My Location Button: center the map on your location, orient the map in the direction you're facing, and show the compass.
Wind & Weather Button: see weather conditions reported by stations across the country.
Search: search for a trail's name or number, geographic feature, latitude/longitude coordinates, national or state park, town or city, and more.
Main Menu: edit your account info, change map settings, check the help center, share onX Backcountry with your friends, view messages in your inbox.
onX Backcountry App controls
Zooming in: touch two fingers to the screen and spread them apart.
Zooming out: touch two fingers to the screen and pinch them together.
Move the map (pan): touch the map and swipe in any direction.

Click the "My Account & Settings" button for more features.
My Account: change your name, email address, password, and manage your billing.
Settings:
- Units: Imperial or Metric Units.
- GPS: Decimal, DMS, or UTM GPS coordinates.
- Secret Spot Mode: GPS coordinates set to 0.00. 0.00.
- Crosshair Visibility: show crosshairs in the center of the map.
- Show Coordinates: GPS coordinates shown or hidden.
- Display Scale Bar: scale bar shown or hidden.
- Help & Support: FAQs (this help center), Contact Us (contact customer support).
Invite Friends.
Print: create paper copies of your maps on your home computer.

Zooming in and out: In the upper right-hand corner, click the [+] button to zoom in or click the [-] button to zoom out. You can also use the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in and out.
