How to use the Discover Button in the onX Backcountry App
How to use the Discover Button to find places to ski and snowshoe:
Tap the "Discover" Button in the bottom left corner.
Make sure the Activity Button in the top right corner of the Discover Menu is set to Snow Mode. Click here to learn more about using the Activity Button and Filters.
The Discover Menu lists nearby Regions where you can ski and snowshoe. Tap a Region to learn more about the activities available and the current conditions.
The Region Overview includes a detailed written description, avalanche forecast, snow conditions from nearby SNOTEL stations, and information on different Zones within the region. Scroll down inside the Region Overview to view more.
Tap a Zone to view more details.
Use the tabs underneath the Zone's name to view Descents, Approaches, and Exits.
In the Descents, Approaches, and Exits tabs, tap a trail to move the map to that location and view more details.
