Create routes that snap to existing trails and roads and save them for later reference. This is a great tool for planning where to go and how to get there.

Building Routes in the onX Backcountry App
Open the Tools Menu and tap "Build Route."
Tap points on your map to build your Route. By default, each point will snap to the closest road or trail.
Tap the Undo button if a point is placed incorrectly.
Your Route might not be able to snap to a section of a road or trail. When this happens, tap "Point Draw" to manually draw that section of your Route.
When you're done building your Route, tap the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen.
Following Routes in the onX Backcountry App
Tap the Location button in the bottom right corner twice to orient the map in the direction you're facing and display the site cone.
Use the blue location dot and the site cone to make sure you're staying on your Route.

Click the Build Route button in the Tools toolbar on the right side of the screen.
